EMPLOYMENT LAW: GETTING STARTED
You’re concerned about something happening at work. How do you get started?
Contact us at (703) 836-9030 or here to schedule a consultation. We will ask you to briefly describe the situation that led you to call us. We’ll also ask for your employer’s name and your physical work location. This will help us to confirm whether we can give you advice on your concerns.
Prior to your consultation, we would like you to share some information with us so that we can be prepared for our call or meeting.
- We would like a Summary and Timeline of the key events that you are concerned about so that we can have a good sense of your situation before you come in.
- Please send us top five key documents, such as special requests or complaints you have made of or to your employer, your employer’s responses to those requests or complaints, any discipline you have received, your most recent performance evaluation, or any other documents you feel are required to understand or analyze your situation.
Your consultation will be with an experienced employment lawyer. We will review your materials in advance of the meeting or call so that we can ask you focused questions that will allow us to give you legal advice by the conclusion of the call.
At the end of your consultation, we will tell you whether we can help you move forward from your current situation, we will tell you what our suggestions for doing so are, and we will tell you what type of representation agreement we can offer you.
Our recommendations will be tailored to your unique circumstances, and we will make sure you understand the reasoning for our recommendations and the steps we will take to accomplish your goals.
